Programmable Quantum Cryptography Educational System PROGRAMMABLE QUANTUM CRYPTOGRAPHY EDUCATIONAL KIT - EKPQC
EKPQC is designed to convey the ideas and steps of a Quantum Key Distribution implementation. The "quantum channel" is simulated with macroscopic pulses of red laser light and the classical channel with infrared pulses.
• Full-stack simulation of quantum cryptography with laser pulses at 660 nm
• Quantum key distribution using BB84 protocol
• Classical channel with infrared transceivers
• Secret message encryption and transmission
• Hacking of the secret message (with eavesdropping add-on)
• Student Manual includes demonstration of basic ideas, to automated operation with programs
• Stepping stones for further explorations in quantum physics and technologies, experimental control and cryptography.

The EKPQC is available as a Basic Kit with only Alice and Bob without optional Eavesdropper Eve. EKPQC is operated by at least two/three computers/laptops with Alice, Bob and Bob. EKPQC can be user assembled. An Assembly and Installation Manual is provided with Kits.

Basic Kit includes

Simulated quantum channel, which consists of:
  • One 660 nm coherent light source
  • One Quarter-Waveplate in a rotation mount
  • Two Motorized Linear Polarizers
  • One Photodetector
  • Two aluminium base plates as Alice and Bob’s stations
  • Two Arduinos with electronics for experimental control

  • Classical channel, which consists of:
  • Two Arduinos with Electronics to control the transceivers
